Mediterranean Furniture, Paper and Forestry Works Exporters' Association (AKAMİB) realized an export of 61.8 million dollars in May with an increase of 45 percent compared to May of last year. With its exports in May, the Union increased its exports by 43 percent in the first 5 months of the year compared to the same period of the previous year, and realized an export of 347.5 million dollars. AKAMİB, which exported 32.5 million dollars of furniture with an increase of 39 percent in May, increased its furniture exports by 616 percent to the UK, where it gained momentum in exports after the signed FTA, exporting 1.2 million dollars of furniture. Growth in Taiwan Increased Exports by 6681 Percent Stating that global trade accelerated with the start of normalization and they entered different markets thanks to the changing supply chain, AKAMİB Leader Onur Kılıçer said, “Taiwan has been increasing its exports continuously for the last 5 months and their demand for products used in the packaging and logistics sector has increased in a correct proportion. Our branch, which quickly met this demand, increased our exports of timber, crates, cages and pallets to Taiwan, increasing by 6681 percent to 1.7 million dollars. With the effect of the increase in global trade, the total exports of the sector increased by 104 percent and reached 11.9 million dollars. Most Exports to Iraq According to AKAMİB data, the highest export was made to Iraq with 12.1 million dollars in May, followed by Germany with 5.3 million dollars high quality fake rolex and Israel with 4 million dollars. After the signed FTA, exports to the United Kingdom, where exports increased rapidly, increased by 402 percent to 1.9 million dollars, while exports to the target market USA amounted to 2.4 million dollars with an increase of 83 percent.
